Furthermore, ICDA member Francesco Vedovati will receive the Capelier-Shaw Award for Excellence in Casting by the European Chapter Board of Governors. This award is named in honour of legendary European casting directors Margot Capelier and Rose Tobias Shaw, and is given annually in recognition of casting, as well as unique contributions to the craft.

Ghana Leadership Awards (Ghana)
Congratulations to our member Mawuko Kuadzi, who won Casting Director of the Year at the Ghana Leadership Awards. The Ghana Leadership Awards are an annual event which acknowledges and celebrates outstanding and exemplary leaders with significant and positive impacts in advancing Ghana and Africa.
Capri Hollywood Film Festival (USA)
ICDA member Nancy Bishop won the Capri Casting Award for her work on Miranda’s Victim at the Capri Hollywood Film Festival, with Armando Pizzuti taking home the Capri Casting Director of Italy Award.
CDG Awards (UK)
The sixth Casting Directors’ Guild (CDG) awards took place in London in February 2024.
The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse was cast by Rachel Freck, Jessica Mescall and Nicholas Hockaday (Associates) and was nominated in the category Best Casting in an Independent Film
The Long Shadow was cast by Victor Jenkins, Sonia Allam, Seth Mason (Associate) and Paushali Banik (Assistant) and was nominated in the category Best Casting in a Limited or Single Series
Sundance Film Festival (USA)
It’s What’s Inside, cast by Mary Vernieu, Sidney Shircliff, Lana Veenker (location casting) and Eryn Goodman (location casting), premiered at Sundance in January, and secured the largest sale of the festival in a deal with Netflix.
