We are excited to announce that, as of 1st January 2023, the International Casting Directors Network (ICDN) has become the International Casting Directors Association (ICDA).
By changing Network to Association, ICDA is able to apply for the status of a professional association (Berufsverband) in Germany, where the organisation is officially registered. This is more aligned with the aims of our establishment, as a professional association per definition seeks to further a particular profession, the interests of individuals and organisations engaged in that profession, and the public interest.
Changing the name also allows us to better reflect the organisation’s work, purpose and aims, and place ICDA on a par with other casting associations around the world.
We are currently working on a branding overhaul, including a new URL and email address. So do watch this space! In the meantime, you will still be able to find us here!
